Ode to my Father – launches nationally on CBC for Father’s Day!

Prairie Boy Productions is proud to announce the national release of our latest personal documentary “Ode to my Father” on CBC June 19, 2021 at 1:30PM just in time for Father’s Day.

After losing his father, Mexican-Canadian artist, Jorge Requena Ramos tries to make peace with his memory of his father and mental illness, as he travels between Winnipeg and Mexico City. “Ode to my Father” is a half hour documentary about a musician using music & art to heal while trying to solve the emotional puzzle left behind by his father’s suicide before becoming a father himself.

“Ode to my Father” was produced by acclaimed local producer – director team, Orlando Braun and Jorge Requena Ramos, in conjunction with CBC, Manitoba Film & Music, and with the participation of the Canada Media Fund, the Manitoba Film and Video Production Tax Credit, and the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit.
